"Woman accused of trafficking 30 pounds of cocaine in cake mix boxes"

This article, found on CNN's website, states how a woman is accused of trying to smuggle almost thirty pounds of cocaine into London late last week. Ayesha Niles was travelling back to London from Jamaica when airport security found it suspicious that she was carrying twenty four boxes of cake mix in her luggage. Upon further inspection, airport security discovered that there was approximately 29.30 pounds of cocaine mixed into the cake boxes. If this reached London, it would sell for approximately $650,000,000. When asked about the cocaine, Niles claimed that the cake mix boxes were put into her luggage by someone, but she did not know what was actually in them. Since Niles will turn eighteen later this week, she is most likely going to be tried as an adult. She may serve fifteen years in prison.
This article is important for people to know about, because it informs them of everyday dangers. This shows how people must always be ready for any case in which they can be in danger. Instead of cocaine, there may have been something else in the suitcases such as bombs or guns which cause more immediate danger. Having a reliable, safe security system especially at airports is extremely important. This way, many dangers, crimes, and acts of violence can be prevented.

Call me a weirdo, but I love stories like these. 650,000,000 dollars worth of cocaine is INSANE! What she should've done was check her luggage as soon as she got the chance. Now she might be imprisoned for a bit over a decade.

Wow Nan this is crazy. Seriously I thought I had heard of everything and then I read this post. Just imagine the number of boats I could have bought with 650 million dollars. I agree and I believe that people are imagining creative and innovative methods in transporting illegal drugs. It is truly amazing and one can only wonder what would happen if a person smart enough discovers a method to fool security measures and harm innocent civilians. Good post keep up the good work Nan!

This blog is very interesting. Good job Nanor. I can not believe that she was trying to smuggle 30 pounds of cocaine. That is unbelievable. Also, these days, the airport security has gottn more strict. Good job Nanor, very well written.

Hey Nanor, very interesting article and wow 24 boxes of cake mix, thats just crazy. I can see why they would get caught, anyone would find it suspicious to see 24 boxes of cake, what a great article to find, and kudos to the airport security.

Nanor, this topic is very interesting mainly because it gives the reader a sense of what is going on in the real world around them. Especially for students like us, who are "safe and sound" in our private school lifestyle. This is also very sad, because she was only eighteen years old, and has her whole life ahead of her, but maybe not if she has to serve time in prison. Good job!

Wow this is a very interesting article. How stupid can one be to try to transport thirty pounds of cocain worth $650,000,000 through twenty four boxes of cake mix? I guess there are more stupid people on this world than I thought. Great choice of article Nanor! Once again, well written as always.

Hey Nanor! Very interesting topic. I have heard many stories of people smuggling cocaine, but never in cake mix boxes! Overall, great job. So far the most interesting post I have read.

Wow! What a story! This is a very interesting article that I actually enjoyed reading. If I were you, I would have brought about some more background information on the topic to get the audience interested and introduced to the subject, but nevertheless, good job!

And by the way, I wonder how you found the article... I mean, do you usually search cocaine trafficking? Or maybe just cocaine? ...I'm not implying anything, it's just that stories like this are rarely headline news especially in our times...
